Mixed Signals

Well, I have had a very strange day indeed. I went to the doctor, got weighed and was pleasantly surprised at a being 2-pounds less than the last time I weighed a few weeks ago. Then I had to go to the local Mayflower grocery store/pharmacy where there was a little blond girl that I must admit seemed slow due to “redneckism”. I would guess that she was about 6… long blond pigtails… being held by her mother. When the mother put her down to pay for their drugs, she threw a minor fit and then put her back to the counter and began to stare at me. I smiled politely until the length of eye contact became uncomfortable. I looked elsewhere until the girl pointed her finger at me and said “look maw, she is fat.” The mom never acknowledged her daughter’s voice. I would block my little retardo out too.

Hhmmm… I told the old man standing next to me, “wow, what a boost to my confidence.” He chuckled uncomfortably, however I wasn’t satisfied that he wasn’t confirming that I wasn’t so I followed up with ”I just went to the doctor and got weighed, I was feeling pretty good about it.” He chuckled uncomfortably some more so I gave up and put it in the category of this is why I don’t associate with the LowLanders of Mayflower.

I went to pick up lunch for me and the boss before heading back to work. The male cashier was chatting me up and then commented on my cool wedding band. Which, HELLO, you commenting on my wedding band is an obvious sign that you were checking out my marital status. Now here is someone that can appreciate my weight…. but I am very taken.  :)

I’ve made excuse after excuse to not be exercising and I just can’t find the motivation to do anything. I am very tired of the cold weather and want to start running again. I think in April, while I’m living in Conway waiting for the new house to be ready, I will join the 24 hour 10-Fitness. It’s just $10 a month with no contracts. They have showers so I can go workout in the morning, get ready for work and head to LR. March 1st is the Conway running clinic that I will be participating in as well so if I can just make it through this month, exercising 3 times a week, I will be just fine.

Wish today was Friday!!!

    If you want early morning sweaty yoga, give me a buzz! I’m doing early morning rock yoga.

    And I’m convinced its below 40 degrees because It doesn’t want us to run!
